You don’t necessarily have to set off for a week or month long expedition in the wilderness to get to experience nature – one day can be plenty of time to explore the beautiful surroundings of our farm. Together with our Greenland dogs you will get a taste of the adventurous life of a trapper.

Trapper’s Farm is located  in the heart of Balsfjord municipality and close to the farm Myrseth and the lake Fjellfroskvatnet.

Hiking through lush forests and looking up to imposing mountain peaks, you are given the opportunity to take part in the simple but true life of a trapper. After your arrival, you will meet our fantastic Greenland dogs and your guide, both ready to take you out on an adventure. Don’t worry, we will start out with a safety briefing and precisely go through everything that you need to know to master this trip. We then prepare the dog teams together and set off into the forest.

There will be plenty of time on the way to check our traps and nets. We will light a bonfire just by the water and there will be the possibility to make coffee over this fire. At the end of the day we will enjoy a nice dinner together, preparing game or fish from the trip. You will find yourself sitting around the bonfire, listening to stories about the areas as well as adventurous expeditions in the wild. An exciting and interesting day that fits perfect for one to three adults, or two adult and two kids. It is an advantage if you like animals.
